“The biggest surprise for me would [be] the size of the international community here in St. Thomas and the welcoming atmosphere that it gives me. When I came here, I expected to be in a small international community, but I got to meet with many friends who are culturally different from me, and I have also met with current international students who got to be friends with some of my American friends.”
